Why do i read?
First off, reading is fun and relaxing, especially if it is a good book. I read for the joys of exploring the intense adventures the characters go on and to look at things in a different perspective. My reading spot is any quiet place with a window or sunlight. When no one is home I sneak into the living room, also known as the "do not enter room" and lay on the couch behind the window. I think I mostly read for the peacefulness some books give you. Ironically my favorite types of books to read are Holocaust books based on before and after it occurred, such as Book Thief. That is my favorite Holocaust. I read to know more, weather about a historical event or fictional. Any book that has an intense, hair-rising, tear-dropping plot is a great book. I have always been a book worm. In elementary school, where my obsession began, I read all the Judy Moody books. By 6th grade my goal was to read all the books off of the bookshelf in my classroom. After digging deep to figure out why I love reading so much I realized that I read for the joy and happiness it brings, only if it was a good book. I can’t stand when people say they hate reading. I mean you read every day, its apart of life. Most people don’t realize it but reading can pull you into the book and help you see different perspectives. The world can change around you, but books will always read the same; that’s my motto. So keep reading for all of the positive things you get from it.
